In the new online era of home buying, the photos your realtor posts of your home absolutely must be spot on. Having your home professionally photographed is one of the best ways to get people interested in your property. Unfortunately, as I search through current houses on the market, I am shocked at the real estate photos that some realtors use. Some are so blurry, it looks like someone was shooting pictures while running across the room, while others include clutter, garbage, or worst of all, random people in the frame! Occasionally, though, a photo is so hilariously terrible that Bad Realty Photos posts it on their Tumblr. I’m including some of my favorites here, but you really need to visit their page and take a look.
Most people attempt to neutralize their decor before selling their home. You know, greige paint, white towels in the bathroom, etc. Apparently, not everyone feels that way, though.
This is actually a bathroom. 10 points to the first one who can locate the toilet!
Ever get the feeling someone was watching you?
Do these people come with the house? No? Well, then they should probably not be in the real estate photos!
I hope he gets out before closing.
Possible Murder Scenes
When you choose photos to include on a listing, you should try to attract buyers, not encourage them to never EVER go near that creepy house. Some of these real estate photos seem like perfect sets for this fall’s newest horror flick.
That bathtub is a great place to hide the weapon. Pretty sure nobody is going to be fishing around for something in there any time soon.
I think we can safely assume that the owner of that red bike has been murdered, right?
Whether you do it yourself, or have a professional tackle your real estate photos, hopefully they come out better than these. Come back on Friday for some tips to make your photos really shine!
